Fujairah to Host Sixth Round of Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship

ABU DHABI, 9th September, 2025 – The sixth round of the Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship is all set to be hosted from 12th to 14th September at Fujairah’s Zayed Sports Complex.

Organized by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, the tournament will include Gi competition and will have a strong field of competitors from top clubs and academies in the country. Male and female competitors of any age will compete, demonstrating the increasing depth of jiu-jitsu talent in the UAE.

The timetable covers three days: the first day will feature the youth, adult, and masters categories; the second day will host competitions in the under-14 and under-16 categories; while the third day will feature children’s categories such as the under-12s.

It boasts a prize money of AED 3 million, and the sixth round is all the more significant with the championship nearing its end. Teams and players are fighting tooth and nail to better their positions in the overall table, where each win can be the decisive factor.

Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, the Vice Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, highlighted the significance of the round, indicating that it is a turning point towards crowning the eventual winners. He further noted that the championship transcends sport by fostering discipline, respect, hardness, and family interaction—values that have contributed to jiu-jitsu becoming an integral component of the UAE’s sporting landscape.

The previous rounds have seen fierce competitions. Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club won the fourth round (Gi), then Al Jazira and Al Ain. Sharjah Self-Defence Sports Club took first place in the fifth round (No-Gi), with M.O.D UAE and Al Ain also displaying good performances.

When the action is moved to Fujairah, everyone will be waiting with bated breath to see which club will take control and move closer to the championship title.
